The 19th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated the University of Redlands, 5-4, on Tuesday, snapping an eight-match losing streak to Redlands, as the Eagles improve to 4-3 on the season.

The Eagles jumped ahead in doubles, as Ryland Byrd and Derek Hagino won at two, 8-4, and Michael Fleming and Patrick Hughes won at three, 8-7. In singles, Hughes won at two, 6-0, 6-1, Moses Hutchison won with the clincher at four, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, and Hagino won at six, 6-3, 6-0.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday at Pomona-Pitzer at 6:00 pm.
