The 17th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated #36 Washington & Lee University, 9-0, on Saturday at the UMW indoor center. The Eagles improve to 11-3 on the season.
The Eagles won easily at one and two doubles, winning by 8-2 and 8-3 scores, and edged the Generals at 8-6 at three. The Eagles then won five matches in straight sets and one in a super breaker to pick up the sweep.
UMW will return to action on Friday when they host Bates College at 4:00 p.m.
