The 22nd ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Division I George Mason University, 6-3, as well as Elizabethtown College, 9-0, on Sunday at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Eagles opened with a pair of doubles wins against the Patriots, and then won three through six singles for a 6-3 victory. UMW swept all nine matches against the Blue Jays in improving to 3-1 after four matches in two days.
