Fredericksburg, Va.-- The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team fell 7-2 to #8 Carnegie Mellon. Chrissy Gaul and the doubles tandem of Lindsay Raulston and Shelby Harris earned points for the Eagles, who fall to 5-5 on the year.
Raulston and Harris were the only Eagles doubles team to earn a victory on Saturday. The duo defeated Vanessa Pavia and Bryn Raschke, 8-4 at one doubles.
Gaul picked up a singles victory at five singles. Gaul defeated Abbey Hamstra 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 in three sets.
The Eagles are back in action tomorrow, March 23rd, with two matches against Swarthmore (9:30 a.m.) and Elizabethtown (4:00 p.m.).
