The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeat the Knights, 9-0, but fall to #22 Washington and Lee 8-1 on Saturday.
UMW easily rolled past the Knights 9-0 on Saturday evening. The Eagles won every match in straight sets, only dropping four games in singles and four games in doubles action.
The Eagles picked up their lone point against the Generals at one doubles. Lindsay Raulston and Shelby Harris picked up a 9-7 win over Sonja Meighan and Patricia Kirkland. Meighan and Kirkland were ranked #1 in the region coming into the match.
UMW returns to action next Saturday, when they host #8 Carnegie Mellon at 10:00 a.m.
