The University of Mary Washington baseball team dropped a 22-3 decision to Pfeiffer University at a chilly V. Earl Dickinson Stadium. The Eagles slip to 3-2 on the season.
The Falcons started with a pair of runs in the first and added four in the second. Pfeiffer scored five in the fifth before the Eagles got on the board with an RBI double from Tyler Ray. Pfeiffer plated seven runs in the sixth and another in the seventh, before Christian Hague hit his first home run of the season. The Flacons scored three in the ninth before an RBI groundout from Chris Rubano.
Lyons and Ray each had a single and double in addition to Hague's home run to pace the Eagle offense. Ray took the loss on the mound, allowing six runs on three hits with five walks in two innings.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they host Roger Williams University at 2:00 p.m.
