In 11 seasons as the head women's tennis coach at the University of Mary Washington, Patrick Catullo has led the Eagles back to greatness. The Eagles have dominated the Capital Athletic Conference dating back to the 1990s, and have advanced to more NCAA Championships than all but one school in all of NCAA Division III.

The Eagles have become more and more of a national championship-caliber team each year under Catullo's tenure in Fredericksburg, and have posted an undefeated conference record of 75-0, a cumulative record of 175-70, including a mark of 167-62 over the past nine seasons. In 2015, he was named the ITA Regional Coach of the Year.

A Mary Washington alumnus, Catullo has led the team to 11 Capital Athletic Conference championships and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances. During this time, Catullo has produced 6 conference rookies of the year awards, 11 conference player of the year awards, and has been honored with 10 conference coach of the year awards.

Prior to his work at Mary Washington, Catullo was the head women's coach at Broward Community College where he won 2 NJCAA national championships and was named NJCAA National Coach of the Year. He is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry.

"There is a distinguished honor about the women's team at Mary Washington, and a great tradition of success. I look forward to challenges as well as the successes that lay ahead for the UMW tennis team," said Catullo, who with his wife, Linda, and two sons, Ryan and Chase, reside in Fredericksburg.
