Five UMW Tennis Players Named to ITA All-Academic Team
Three UMW women's tennis players and two men were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Team on Thursday. Lindsay Raulston, Alex Ritter, and Mackenzie Smith were named from the women's team, and Evan Charles and David Lunding-Johansson were named from the men's team.

Catullo Named VaSID State College Division Coach of the Year as All-State Team Announced
Washington & Lee University junior Sonja Meighan (McLean, Va./Flint Hill) has been named as the 2014 Virginia State Women's Tennis College Division Player of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association, as the All-State team was announced on Friday. University of Mary Washington head coach Patrick Catullo was named the state Coach of the Year, and Emory & Henry College freshman Stella DiMichele (San Remo, Italy) was named as the state's Rookie of the Year.

UMW Women's Tennis Places 21st Nationally in Final Poll; Raulston and Harris Rank Among Elite
The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team finished the season ranked 21st in the nation, and sixth in the Atlantic South region. Senior Lindsay Raulston ranked 20th nationally in singles, and Raulston and partner Shelby Harris finished sixth in the nation - the highest ending rank for any doubles team in Coach Catullo's tenure.

University of Mary Washington senior Lindsay Raulston and sophomore Shelby Harris advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament on Thursday, while Raulston fell earlier in the day in the round of 32 in singles play.

UMW's Raulston and Harris Seeded First in NCAA Doubles Tournament; Raulston to Face 5th Seed in Singles
History was made with the announcement of the NCAA Division III women's tennis championship doubles draw, as UMW's Lindsay Raulston and Shelby Harris gained the top seed in the championship. Raulston will face fifth seeded Gabby Devlin of Amherst in the first round of the singles draw.

UMW Men's, Women's Tennis Will Host NCAA Tournament Super Regional This Weekend
Seven women's teams and five men's teams will compete this weekend in the first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament at the Battleground. The Mary Washington women will face Penn State-Behrend in the first round, while the men will face Wilkes in the second round. Dates and times are to be determined.

The #21 University of Mary Washington women’s tennis team saw their season end, 5-2, against Johns Hopkins in the NCAA Tournament Third Round. UMW won two doubles points, but fell in four of six singles. UMW closes the season at 18-8.

#21 Women's Tennis Moves Past Trinity (Tx), 5-1, in NCAA Tournament Second Round
The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Trinity (Tx) 5-1 on Friday at the Hegmann Tennis Complex. Mary Washington took two of three doubles matches to earn the win. The Eagles move to 18-7 on the year and will face the winner of Johns Hopkins-SUNY Geneseo tomorrow.

The #21 Mary Washington women's tennis team knocked off Penn State- Behrend 5-0 in the NCAA Tournament First Round. The Eagles swept all three doubles matches en route to the win. UMW moves to 17-7 on the year.

University of Mary Washington senior Lindsay Raulston will compete in the 2014 NCAA Division III women's tennis singles championship in Cleremont, Ca., on May 21-23. Raulston and sophomore Shelby Harris will advance to the NCAA doubles draw as well.

Raulston Gains Third CAC POY as Eagles Dominate All-CAC Women's Tennis Teams
Mary Washington senior Lindsay Raulston became the second player in conference history to win the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year award three consecutive years and led an Eagles’ sweep of first team all-star nods in both singles and doubles.

The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated St. Mary's 9-0 on Wednesday. The Eagles did not lose more than one game in each of the six singles matches. UMW will face Salisbury in the CAC Championship on Saturday.

The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team fell to the #3 Blue Jays, 6-3, on Saturday. UMW took two of the doubles points, but Johns Hopkins took five of the six singles matches for the victory. The Eagles fall to 14-7 on the year.

The #21 Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated St. Mary's (Md.), 9-0, on Tuesday. The win gives the Eagles the regular season title, and improves the Eagles to 13-6, 6-0 CAC on the year.

The #21 Mary Washington women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 win over Salisbury in CAC action on Saturday. The Eagles won two of three doubles, and five of six singles matches to earn the win and move to 12-6, 5-0 CAC on the year.

Fredericksburg, Va.-- The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team concluded the weekend invitational with a 7-2 win against the Banana Slugs. UMW won two of three doubles, and five of six singles matches en route to the win. The Eagles improve to 9-6 on the season.

The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team fell 7-2 to #8 Carnegie Mellon. Chrissy Gaul and the doubles tandem of Lindsay Raulston and Shelby Harris earned points for the Eagles, who fall to 5-5 on the year.

The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team fell, 6-3 against Redlands on Saturday to end their west coast road swing. The Eagles won three singles matches, but it wasn't enough as UMW falls to 3-3 on the year.

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated both CAC rival Christopher Newport and Methodist 9-0 on Saturday to open the dual season. UMW won every singles match in both contests in straight sets to earn the victories and go to 2-0 on the year.

UMW to Name Outdoor Tennis Complex After Retired Athletic Director and Coach Ed Hegmann
The University of Mary Washington Board of Visitors passed a resolution on Friday to name the University’s outdoor tennis complex after retired long-time Director of Athletics and Women’s Tennis Coach Dr. Edward Hegmann. The facility will be named the Edward Hegmann II Tennis Complex.

The UMW women's tennis team wrapped up the fall season at the Blue and Gold Invitational, hosted by The U.S. Naval Academy this weekend. Sophomore Shelby Harris advanced to the semifinals of the B Singles Draw. The Eagles were the lone DIII school in the field.
