UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Haverford, 2-0


The Haverford College women's soccer team scored a goal in each half to defeat the University of Mary Washington, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles fall to 7-4-1 on the season.

Haverford scored with just 29 seconds remaining in the first half on a corner kick, and then again in the 58th minute. Haverford outshot the Eagles, 12-7, and had four corner kicks to just one for UMW. Tina Brehm (Springfield, Va., Robert E. Lee) had six saves for UMW, while Kendra Herrick-Reynolds had two saves for the host team.

The Eagles will return to action next Saturday when they host York College in a CAC contest at 1:00 p.m.
