Petrucelli, Atkinson, and Mott Named All-Region by IWLCA

Senior Jenna Petrucelli and junior Emily Atkinson were named as first team all-region selections by the Intercollegiate Women's lacrosse Coaches Association on Monday, with freshman Emily Mott taking second team honors.

Petrucelli led the Capital Athletic Conference in scoring with 74 goals, and also added six assists for 80 points. She has previously been named as the CAC Player of the Year, becoming just the third UMW player to capture the league Player of the Year. She broke the school record with 85 draw controls this season as well.

Atkinson scored 42 goals and added 11 assists this season for the Eagles in gaining first team all-region honors as well. She grabbed 29 ground balls and added 48 draw controls.

Mott gained second team honors after scoring eight goals and 11 assists and leading the team with 33 ground balls. She posted 22 draw controls.
