Chatnick Joins UMW Women's Lacrosse as Assistant Coach

Lauren Chatnick will join the University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach in January, 2011, according to head coach Dana Hall.

Chatnick joins the Eagle program after serving as a coach in England at Abbots Hill School as well as at Berkhamsted Schools. She also has recently worked for Albany Elite Lacrosse in Albany, New York. Chatnick was a collegiate player at Fairfield University where she was a team captain her senior season in 2009.

"I am excited about the opportunity to work for the UMW lacrosse program," said Chatnick, the older sister of UMW player Corinne Chatnick. "Coach Hall and the UMW lacrosse team have a long history of having a strong lacrosse program and I am pleased to be a part of that. The team had a very successful season last year and I look forward to continue building on that success this year."
