The University of Mary Washington women's basketball team limited Cabrini College to just eight field goals in the entire game en route nto a 55-30 victory on Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Eagle snap a two-game skid in improving to 5-4 on the year.
Junior guard Jenna McRae and sophomore center Carol Dye each scored 12 points to lead the Eagles, while junior guard Katie Wimmer added 11 points and 11 rebounds. UMW shot 51% from the floor in the second half while limiting Cabrini to just 20% from the floor for the game, with 24 turnovers.
The Eagles will return to action on Sunday when they face Westfield State College at 8:00 p.m.
