UMW's McRae, Wimmer Named to All-CAC Women's Basketball First Team

University of Mary Washington women's basketball players Jenna McRae (Springfield, Va., Annandale) and Katie Wimmer (Vienna, Va., James Madison) were named to the 2011 All-Capital Athletic Conference women's basketball first team, as voted on by the league's coaches and announced on Tuesday.

The two juniors finished the year averaging 12.9 (Wimmer) and 12.8 (McRae) points per game, and the pair will enter their senior seasons next fall just 11 and 10 points shy of 1,000 for their careers, respectively. This winter, Wimmer added 81 assists, 41 steals, and 5.4 rebounds per game. McRae added 6.4 rebounds, 46 assists, and 35 steals.

McRae was a first team all-conference selection last year as well, while Wimmer was the CAC Rookie of the Year two years ago.
