The University of Mary Washington swim teams closed the NCAA Division III National Championships in fine style, gaining two more All-America performances on Saturday. Junior Sarah Crockett (Toano, Va., Lafayette) finished 11th in the 200 yard backstroke at 2:04.64, and the women's 400 yard free relay took 12th at 3:30.95.
Junior Adriana Lesiuk (Bensalem, Pa., Nazareth ) finished 30th in the 100 yard freestyle at 52.76. Junior Stephen Clendenin (Ashburn, Va., Home Schooled) finished 21st in the 200 yard backstroke at 1:51.91, while freshman Nick Eckhoff (Williamsburg, Va., Jamestown) took 37th at 1:53.95. Megan DeSmit (Bridgewater, Va. , Turner Ashby) took 25th in the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:25.38, while Cameron Figuers (Cary, N.C., Cardinal Gibbons) took 29th at 2:26.86.
The Eagle women finished the championships in 20th place with 62 points, while the men, with two competitors, placed 52nd with five points.
