Saturday Morning Community Service for the Rowing Teams
Members of the UMW men’s and women’s rowing teams travelled to Woodbridge Saturday for a community service event.
They helped in the initial stages of the construction of six theatrical stages for a living nativity presented by The House/The Worship Center which offers before and after school programs for grades 4-12, non-traditional school, and summer leadership programs among other programs.
The event was coordinated by former UMW Assistant Coach Katrin Sydlik who works at The House.
The Living Nativity has been presented as a “Christmas gift” to the community for several years.
It can be seen on the grounds of Hylton Memorial Chapel December 13, 14, and 15 starting at 6:30 PM.
