UMW Rowing Teams Kick Off 2010 Fall Season at Occoquan
RESULTS
The University of Mary Washington men's and women's rowing teams
kicked off the 2010 fall regatta season at the Occoquan Challenge
Regatta on Sunday, with several top results.
The women's varsity eight (Gina Ranfone, Stephanie Lefferts,
Elizabeth Hancock, Amanda Hartzell, Jessica Pryor, Eva Campbell,
Laura Page, Anne Campbell, Morgan de Paulo) finished in second
place among four boats, and the second varsity eight (Hannah
Laughlin, Margaret Auer, Lindsay Cutler, Alyssa Zint, Sarah Tagg,
Marielle Gibbons, Dana Cazan, Katherine Belfield, Emily Webber)
fourth place among 10 boats. The second varsity four (Kristina
Pistochini, Emily Webber, Casey Heigh, Sarah Tagg, Danielle
Pistochini) finished eighth among 13 boats and the championship
pair (Lefferts and A. Campbell) took second among three
boats.
The men's varsity eight (Daniel Zimmerman, Patrick Wood, Connor
Murphy, Alexis Tamberg, Kevin Tyler, Daniel Russell, William
Bennett, Robert Cowley, Steven Johnson) finished seventh among
11 boats. The two varsity four boats took seventh (Jen Arndt, David
Haddad, William Kyle, Garrett Hulfish, John Jolissaint) and
11th (Zimmerman, Wood, Robert Ericson, Robert Tyszka, Dakota
Springston) of 13 boats respectively.
The Eagles will return to action on October 17 at the Occoquan
Chase Regatta.
