UMW Swimmers Finish in 5th, 6th at Hilltopper Invite

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team finished fifth and its women sixth at the Western Kentucky University Hilltopper Invitational on Sunday, despite not sending the entire rosters to the event.

For the men on Sunday, Stephen Clendenin finished third in prelims in the 200 backstroke at 1:54.73; Adriana Lesiuk was first in the 100 freestyle and Sarah Crockett third; Megan DeSmit was third in the 200 breast (2:26.16); and Billy Norfolk was first in the 200 butterfly (1:52.59) with an NCAA provisional qualifying time, and Clendenin was second (1:53.95).

The Eagles will return to the pool over holiday break in Puerto Rico.
