Adam Spinelli returns to the UMW coaching staff for the third season following a five-year stint as the assistant men’s coach at Division II Montana State University in Billings. Spinelli was a three-year college starter, two years at Southern New Hampshire University and one year at Nova Southeastern University. During his playing career Spinelli received numerous accolades including the 2002 Northeast-10 Freshmen of the Year and All-Conference honors. He was a starter for SNHU in the NCAA Division II National Championship game. At Nova Southeastern, Spinelli was named to the All-South Region academic team and was an Academic All-American nominee.
As an assistant coach at Montana State Billings, Coach Spinelli held a 47-37-6 record and help guide the Yellowjackets to their first ever winning seasons. In 2009, Spinelli coached the Division II National Player of the Year, along with numerous All-Conference and All-Region players. Spinelli currently holds an USSF National B License and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma. He received dual bachelors degrees from Nova Southeastern in Business Administration and Sports Management in 2006. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Arkansas.
