University of Mary Washington head men's basketball coach Rod Wood will chat with host Dave McHugh on Hoopsville on D3Hoops.com on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Wood's Eagles, 11-1 on the season, are off to the best start in program history, and have won nine straight.
Hoopsville is the only show dedicated to Division III basketball in the world. The show first hit the air in November of 2000 and this season mark’s the show eleventh season overall.
Dave McHugh is the creator and host of Hoopsville which broadcasts out of McHugh’s personal studios in the Baltimore area. The show airs on Sundays and Thursdays from 7-9 PM EST. Archives of each show are also available for those who could not tune in while it was on the air.
Each show, Dave talks to coaches, players, administrators, reporters and expects from around the country to take a look at the previous week of Division III basketball and what is ahead. The show also interacts with listeners through Twitter, Facebook, email and a chat room.
Hoopsville has also traveled and broadcast live at the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship Weekend in Salem every year since 2001 including special pre- and post-game coverage at the unique Elite Eight and Final Four in 2013. Hoopsville was also on the road to the women’s championship weekend in Holland, Michigan for the first time this season in 2013.
