Mary Washington alumnus Teresa
Seay is the latest in a line of outstanding coaches for the
University of Mary Washington riding team, having led the Eagles to
the regional title in 2011 and 2014.
Seay, who has worked at Hazelwild Farm - the school's home facility - since graduating from UMW, and has served as an assistant coach for the Eagles, took over as the head coach for 2009-2010. She teaches classes for the university.
"It's an honor to take the reigns of the Eagle riding program," said Seay. "As a former rider at Mary Washington, I am very proud of the successful tradition the team has maintained over the years, and look forward to building on that success into the future."
A very successful rider while competing for Mary Washington, Seay advanced to the 1998 IHSA National Championships. She graduated with a degree in Biology in 1999.
