UMW Riding Team Finishes First at UMW Show

The University of Mary Washington riding team finished in first place by four points at its home show on Sunday at Hazelwild Farm. The Eagles had six first place ribbons on the day.

Brittany Hill (Frederick, Md., Linganore) won her open on the flat and open over fences classes, while Molly Banfield (Wake, Va., Christchurch) won her intermediate on the flat class. Rebecca Presor (Leesburg, Va., Heritage) and Isabel Moore (Pembroke, Va., Blacksburg) each won their novice on the flat events, and Kathleen Wallace (Midlothian, Va., Midlothian) won her novice over fences class. Sarah Hagan (Fincastle, Va., James River) won her advanced walk-trot-canter class.

The Eagles will return to action on March 26 at the Goucher College Show.
