Case added a run in the third, and then a solo run in the sixth, to trim the deficit to 5-4. The Eagles answered with a run in the sixth as pinch runner Zavier Webb scored on a Cody Beacorn sacrifice fly.
In the bottom of the ninth, Johnston walked and Riley West and Tyler Truslow followed with bunt singles to load the bases. Ruiz singled home the tying run, and Beacorn walked with the bases loaded to end the game.
Ruiz had three hits to lead UMW, while Burns singled and doubled. Bryant White gained the win in relief, allowing one hit in 1.1 innings, walking none and striking out two.
