Will Wright Breaks UMW School Season Hits record; Eagles Receive Votes in ABCA and D3Baseball.com Polls

University of Mary Washington senior Will Wright (St. Louis, Mo., St. Louis Priory) broke the school season hits record on Saturday with his 69th hit of the year, as the Eagles improved to 26-10 on the year. UMW, the Capital Athletic Conference champions, have now won eight straight and received votes in both the American Baseball Coaches' Association's and the D3Baseball.com national polls.

Wright breaks the former record held by Eric Fitzgerald, who had 68 hits in 2006.
