TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR JANUARY 15-17, 2010

The University of Mary Washington will host an action-packed weekend on January 15-16, as the nationally-ranked swim teams will host Senior Day on Friday, and the basketball teams will look to remain unbeaten at home with a twinbill on Saturday.

The men's swimming team, ranked 21st in the nation, and the women's team, which is rated fourth in the nation, will host Marymount University on Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the final home meet of the season. The Eagles will recognize their six seniors, who have helped the team to new heights this year.

On Saturday, the women's basketball team will face fifth-ranked Marymount University at 1:00 p.m. with first place in the Capital Athletic Conference standings on the line. The men's basketball team will host Marymount at 3:00 p.m. in a battle of two top-tier CAC programs.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as traffic on Route 1 will be closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday to start construction of a walking bridge that will connect the new Eagle Village to Goolrick Gymnasium and the new Anderson Center, which is also being constructed.
