UMW Softball Falls at Salisbury in CAC Tournament, 3-0

The University of Mary Washington softball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Salisbury University in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Eagles will face York College in the tournament on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
The Sea Gulls scored twice in the first inning, and another in the sixth. Junior shortstop Kaitlin Petrella had a pair of hits for the Eagles, while Morgan Lamon had the only extra base hit of the game with a double, and Monique DeZarn singled for UMW.
Senior pitcher Kirsten Rowell took the loss for the Eagles, allowing three earned runs on seven hits in six innings, with no walks and six strikeouts.
