UMW Men's Lacrosse Tops Hood, 13-5, to improve to 7-4

Senior Brent Fisk scored a pair of goals to lead 12 different UMW players in the goal column, as the Eagles topped Hood College, 13-5, in Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 7-4 on the season.

Mary Washington scored the game's first three goals, and held a 3-1 lead after 15 minutes. UMW then used a six-goal spurt in the second to lead, 9-2, at halftime. After netting the game's only two goals in the third quarter, UMW added two goals in the fourth for the 13-5 victory.

Dan Coats and Kohl Meyer each added a pair of assists for the Eagles, with Pete Flannery-Tellock, Ryan Wettlaufer, and Ryan Motyka each playing a hand in two scores with a goal and an assist apiece.

Sophomore Ryan Kleman had four saves and Matt Prin and Ryan Montgomery each had one save for the Eagles, who will visit second ranked Salisbury University on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
