Mary Washington senior JUSTIN ANDERSON (Oak Hill, Va./Oakton) and Mary Washington junior SARAH CROCKETT (Toano, Va./Lafayette) were selected as the CAC Swimming Athletes of the Week for Nov. 10, 2009.

MEN'S SWIMMING

Mary Washington senior JUSTIN ANDERSON (Oak Hill, Va./Oakton) was selected the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week after winning two individual events, contributing to two victorious relay teams and posting three pool records in a CAC tri-meet with York and Hood. Anderson touched the wall first in the 100 freestyle (49.17) and 200 freestyle (1:48.77), then swam legs of the first-place 200 medley relay (1:39.71) and 400 freestyle relay (3:18.16) teams that both set pool records. Anderson was also credited with the 100 freestyle pool record (48.95) as the leadoff leg of the 400 freestyle relay team.



WOMEN'S SWIMMING

Mary Washington junior SARAH CROCKETT (Toano, Va./Lafayette) was selected the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after winning two individual races, contributing to a pair of gold medal relay teams and setting pool records in all four races as the Eagles swept a CAC tri-meet at York Friday. Crockett captured top honors in the 200 freestyle (156:49) and the 200 backstroke (2:11.41) and was a member of the victorious 200 medley relay (1:53.87) and 400 freestyle relay (3:45.54) teams.
