Jeff Hootselle '97

The most highly decorated player in UMW history, Jeff capped his brilliant career as a first team All-America selection in 1997, when he led the nation in victories and strikeouts.  At the time of his graduation in 1997, he held eight school records, and was named the Capital Athletic Conference and the Virginia state College Division Player of the Year.  In addition to being the only first team All-America pick in school history, Jeff was selected in the 36th round by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1997 draft.
